This nautical design features many old world joinery techniques. The top of the table is a shiplap grate within a splined mitered frame. The legs are mortise & tenon and cross pegged to the aprons. Then the top of the table is married to the lower assemble with hand made wooden nails. All in all, there isn't any metal in this table (no screws or cleats of any kind). The pictured table is made of cherry and measures 17 1/2" x 17 1/2" x 22" tall. This design can be made as a coffee table or a side table in a wide range of sizes and hardwoods.
